I just won Coldplay Tickets. Yahoo!!! I won Coldplay tickets like 7 years ago with backstage tickets to meet the band. Unfortunately they cancelled because Chris was sick. I was so sad. So I hope they don't cancel, even though I don't get to meet them this time. Oh well what can ya do!

New Hobby!
So I finally came to the realization that I don't love to scrapbook. It costs too much money. I get anxiety every time I do it or don't do it because I'm so far behind. I compare myself to others' scrapbooks and feel sad. Yada yada yada. Just because I'm a mormon mother does not mean I need to scrapbook. haha So anyway, I decided to try digital scrapbooking. I love it! I'm finally figuring out the program I bought. I just do a little here and there. The best part is I'm saving money plus I can print pages for my own book and the kids' books so that I don't have to scrapbook the page 3 times. So there you have it. These are a few I've done thus far.

Race for the Cure
I'm trying to do some catch up on some fun things I've done recently. In May I did a 5k for breast cancer- Race for the Cure. Here is our "team" on our way downtown. My sister Kristine and my friend Amy. Kristine misunderstood the assignment of pink lady shirts;)
I "ran" for my mother-in-law, sister-in-law, and aunt. All breast cancer survivors.
Here are my biggest supporters:
There were a ton of people and a ton of booths. This booth took our pictures for free. Not sure what's up with the top of my head. The lady after us picked up her huge dog to be in her picture. I laughed a bit;)
It was a really neat event. I loved seeing all the survivors. What a wonderful cause.

North Carolina/South Carolina
Finally I'm getting to sharing some pics of our fun vacation to see our friends the Pooles who live in South Carolina. But since North and South Carolina are so close we got to experience a little bit of both. Here are some highlights:
We're on our way. Hudson's first plane ride.
Wow Hudson's famous:
Hudson and Karlee super excited to be there.
Our first night there at a little fun center. Karlee and Brian and his daughter "little" Karlee after some water boats.
This was at a very pretty hotel. We went and took a look at it when our other plans fell through. It would be an awesome place to stay.
My friend Christina and I at the Biltmore Estate. We toured this very cool mansion that was the Vanderbilts.
Strawberry Hill that had the best strawberries ever!
An afternoon at the lake:
Our last adventure before our flight home: Hardees. I miss that place. It reminds me of my mom taking us there for sausage biscuits in the mornings and riding my bike with my friends to get lunch. It was a great trip!

I miss my mom!
Today it has been 12 years since my dear Mom passed away. It's been a tough day for me. I just start to think about all the things she's missing like Hudson being born and growing up. Her never getting to know Paul and Karlee. My Mom would have loved Paul. They would've been great buddies. I can totally see him hugging her and picking her up and teasing her. But on the upside I know she is watching us and is hopefully proud of what I've become. I owe a lot to her for being such a great example to me. She was my best friend. I think she was just about everyones best friend. She celebrated every holiday as well as celebrating each day of her life. Every holiday I think about her and as I take out my decorations, many that I got from her, it takes me back to all the fun times I had with her. My Mom had the best laugh in the world which I think my sweet sister Linzi inherited. Every time she laughs out loud I remember my Mom. My sister Kristine inherited her great cooking skills and willingness to serve at any time. I'm just rambling now, but I truly miss my Mom and am trying to hold on to all the memories I have of her so I can share them with my children. 12 years ago was a heart wrenching day for me, but I somehow made it through with all my great family members, friends, and the Gospel. Here's to you Mom! If you're watching down on me right now I hope I can be even 1/2 the woman, Mom, Wife, and friend you were.
Here's a pic of her on our last vacation to St. George about a week before she passed away.
Here's a couple pics from Memorial weekend and visiting my Mom's grave. If any of you knew her she loved loved diet coke. So we always bring her a can;) My brother-in-law joked that maybe she'd like to try coke zero since that's the new thing. Haha
Her legacy (minus Karlee who was at her Mom's house that weekend)
