I have been blessed with great friends and family that offer to watch Hudson on Fridays while I go into the office for a couple of hours. My sister takes a couple times a month and my friend Ash takes about once a month. I just don't want to burden anyone so I try to spread it out. This just proves that Hudson is well taken care of and enjoys being with my friends and family. Ashley took these pics of Hudson helping her put out her Easter decorations. She even emailed them to me while I was at work. Thanks for taking such great care of the little guy!

TWILIGHT MADNESS
Last Friday night I got all caught up in the madness that was the release of TWILIGHT on DVD. I don't usually go to things like this, but it was definitely a fun night. My friend Amy and I went and enjoyed the festivities. There is so much to tell so I will just do a list of the GOOD and the EVIL (since it is vampires we are talking about).
GOOD
-Going with someone who totally cracks me up.
-Getting our picture taken with the look-a-likes.
-The festivities at Maceys Grocery Store. They had where you could get an updo, contests, free samples, a band for the "prom" etc.
-The "better" look-a-like. This guy wasn't even in the festivities. But he looked closer to the real thing and was totally getting into character. More girls followed him than the "official" look-a-likes.
-Another look-a-like lets call him "casual" Edward.
-Running into an old friend of mine. (Here she is with a look-a-like James)
-James and Edward getting into a "fight".
-Eating at BK and chatting.
-Getting the DVD at 12:10 AM. Yea!
EVIL
-Painted "bite marks". They look just plain gross!

-The rest of the characters. Not great look-a-likes.

-Bella didn't look remotely like Bella. Plus this was a "real" couple and were kanoodling the whole time!
-The FYE party. Lame cupcake walk that hardly anyone won. Terrible look-a-like contest of their own. Facepainting which consisted of writing "Edward" or "Jacob" on your face.
-The MIX 107.9 giving lame prizes like the first person to be in line at midnight to buy the DVD and cd's.
-Walmart making you take a # and then just telling everyone "go to the checkstands". Luckily we were like 10th in line.
What a great night!

St Patrick's Day!
Ok I'm a week late, but here are the pics from our fun filled St. Patty's Day. I'm now part of the club UtahKidsClub.com. Right now the special is $6 a month and you get access to lots of events and lots of discounts. Well I looked on there and they showed that Discovery Gateway was FREE all day long. So my sister and I got everyone ready and we were on our way.
They gave the kids glasses to find leprachauns. How cute are they?;)

The firefighter section was a favorite. For the last month my nephew Gavin has wanted to be a firefighter.

My little cow!
They had fun making these hats.
My sister helping Gavin.
Me and my buddy.
Lunch with cute green sandwiches that Kris made.
The cool Life Flight helicopter outside.
Then it was back to work. Literally behind my back, Hudson had climbed on a chair, grabbed one of my paints and had opened it and was playing in it. I thought he was a little too quiet;) My bad for having the chair too close to the ledge, or my bad for having paint out at all. Well it was into the bathtub. I was trying to do one of those "mormon commercials" "it's about..time" where instead of getting mad you get out the camera. So I did. Well Hudson saw that and of course did his cheesy grin. I said "NO". This is how he looked after that. I can take a picture for the future but he can't know that it's fun to get into the paint and then get your picture taken;)
Every year I do some type of "green" dinner. Usually it's green pancakes and green eggs. This year I tried a new recipe. French Toast Strata. You put french bread and eggs, cream cheese, etc. all together. Well Macey's had green french bread. It was really good.

What a great day!

OH HAPPY DAY!
This may not be too exciting to you all, but a week ago I got a wonderful gift. A NEW CHAIR!!! I delight in the simple things in life;) Ever since I started working from home a year and a half ago I've had this chair. My husband has had it for years. I don't even know where it came from, but it was crap! Most of the springs were broken and I had to have a two pillows to make it somewhat comfortable for me. I've had neck problems for quite awhile and I know it's gotten worse with this chair. I just started going to the chiropractor and already can feel a change.

This is the new chair that will help in my "recovery". Thank you Paul for "insisting" I get one. Oh very happy day!

FUN FRIDAY NIGHT
We are trying to get out more as a family and spend some "quality" time. So our activity for the month was to go swimming. Karlee absolutely loves swimming. So after many "hints" we took the kids to the Gene Fullmer Pool in West Jordan. We all had a great time!

One of my favorite photos. This totally shows their relationship. They are best buds.

LINZI'S BIRTHDAY BASH
My sister Linzi's b/day was a couple of weeks ago. Sandy, Kristine, and I decided to throw her a TWILIGHT SURPRISE PARTY. Well the "twilight" stuff didn't turn out to be a surprise since Linzi would not leave the house that day. But she didn't know some of her close friends would be at the dinner. We had a blast. Here are some of the highlights.
Our special guest Edward.
The decorations and the yummy food.
We tried to make a lot of the food red. I made raspberry pretzel salad. I turned the cream cheese part a dark gray. It didn't look appetizing, but it sure was good.

One of her fun TWILIGHT gifts.
All the nieces and nephews had to help!

THE POWER OF MUSIC
![]()
I would say about 80% of the time when I workout it's not much fun. I just go through the motions and try to keep up my energy level. About 20% of the time I have a GREAT workout. I could keep going and going. Today was one of those days and it was all because of the POWER of MUSIC. After 8 long months I finally added new music to my IPOD. These are some of the songs that really motivated me today. As you can tell I'm quite eclectic. Yes I know some of the song titles don't sound that great but they really aren't bad songs;)
-I Drive Myself Crazy (N'sync)slow song for a warmup.
-Crazy Life (Toad the Wet Sprocket) slow song for the cooldown.
-Summertime (New Kids on the Block)
-Tire Swing (Juno Soundtrack)
-Somebody Like You (Keith Urban)
-Seasons of Love (Rent Soundtrack)
-Booty Man (Craig David)
-Dirty Dancing (New Kids on the Block)
-All I Want is You (Juno Soundtrack)
-Jai Ho (Pussycat Dolls-Slumdog Millionaire Soundtrack)
-Here it Goes Again (Ok Go)
What songs get you in the mood to workout??

Lisa Needs!!!
I was looking on my friend's blog and thought this would be fun to do. You google "your name" "needs" and these are the top 10 things that came up.
1. Lisa needs braces.
2. Lisa needs to get a life.
3. Lisa needs a nap.
4. Lisa needs a dental plan.
5. Lisa needs facebook.
6. Lisa needs your help.
7. Lisa needs help with her vertical blinds.
8. Lisa needs a new concealer.
9. Lisa needs help.
10. Lisa needs to get away from family.
This totally made me laugh. #2, #3, #5, #9 are so true!!! I would hope I don't need braces (again) or concealer, yikes!
You should all do this too so I can read what yours comes up with!

More Organizing!
Wow I'm on a role. I'm trying to ride this wave while it lasts;) Today was the dreaded project: THE MUD/STORAGE/CRAP ROOM. You know you all have them. That one room where all the miscellaneous stuff gets put. This room has a purpose and we do walk through it everyday to get out of the house, but it never seems to stay organized. It took about 3 hours total and some shopping, but it finally happened. Thanks to Paul who is a great organizer and an oh so patient man!
The BEFORE pics. I'm a little embarrassed to post these but how will you know how well we did if you can't see how it began:)

Yes this is the floor, yikes!
The AFTER pics. Paul was putting the cans in and the labels were all crazy and upside down. I had him redo a lot of them or I redid them. He joked that it was like "Sleeping with the Enemy" if you've ever seen that movie. He asked if he now needs to learn how to swim and get his mother in a safe place. HAHA. I'm really not that bad. I just wanted this project to go well.
We also spent some of our tax refund on more food storage.
The floor yea!
We also went to IKEA and got a few hooks and a shoe organizer.
