I'm really big into free things as you call know. Movies are one of them. I love to go to movie premieres. Even though they are a pain in the neck. It is quite the process. You have to go somewhere around the valley that is specified and pick up the free tickets, but no these are not the actual tickets. Then you have to go the day of around 4:00 and exchange them for real tickets. Then you have to go sit in line behind smelly/ornery/"special" people you take your pick, at about 5:30. Then you get frisked, purses invaded, and finally the "free" movie starts. I watch it while I eat my $8 meal. Why do I even bother? I'm not really sure but I guess the idea of me seeing the movie before anyone else is nice;)
This week it was Nick and Norah's infinite playlist. It was the typical teenage angst movie where most of the actors were playing the same type of character they always play.
Pros:
Great music (most of it unknown)
Funny quirky lines
A good head butt scene that we all clapped at.
Fun friends to see it with.
Semi-good nachos
Sneaking my cell phone in.
Good seats. (assigned this time, genius!)
Cons:
Some potty humor (literal potty stuff)
Some crude parts
Parts where ABC gum passed and passed from one person to the other
Big ol hover round parked in front of my legs. (no I didn't see her and her other friends drive around in a big circle like the commercial;)
Here's the friends I went with. I stole the pic from Stephanie's blog but it was fun to see myself on others' blogs. Yea, I'm like that. Stephanie was my roommate years ago and I've known Becca since about high school. It was so fun to reconnect. It's been way to long and I hope to go to many other fun events with them.

MAC FUN
I saw Paul playing around on his Mac yesterday and didn't know he could do such fun photos. So here's a little fun we had. We are easily amused.
First some cute ones with a lovely background:

Fishy Fish
AHHHH! Fun on the roller coaster
I love Karlee's face in this one. What are those crazy parents doing?
I feel like I look like a Dr. Seuss character, maybe related to the Whos
This setting was called "fish bowl". You can tell by the tear that I was laughing quite hard. This is almost Blair Witch Projectish
Karlee did some creative pics too.

Good Times!

CONFESSION!
oK I have a confession to make. I am a blog addict/stalker. I have googled people to find their blogs. I have gone from one blogger I know to their friends who blog to their friends who blog. You get the picture. I have found old friends/boyfriends blogs. It's not to stalk in the sense I want to come find them or do drive bys but it's because it's so much fun to see what people are doing. Sometimes it makes me jealous thinking of what people have or do or want. I'm jealous that Lori has a cuter baby room than I do (mine is still not done). I'm jealous Jaci goes on such fun overnighters with her husband. I'm jealous Holly can bake like Betty Crocker. I'm jealous that Stephanie has so many friends to go to lunch with. I'm jealous that Linzi is the recipient of so many free concerts. I'm jealous that Marci just went to Disneyland. I'm jealous that Ashley has the cutest clothes for her baby girl. I'm jealous that Becca takes a trip like every weekend. I'm jealous that Corissa takes the most beautiful photographs of her family. I'm jealous that Amy takes her family to the most unique and fun places. I'm jealous that Brett knows so much about music. I'm jealous that Kyle has interesting things to write or scan about. Ok you get my point I better stop. But anyway if you too are a blog stalker please leave me a comment and let me know that you're interested in my life even if you feel ashamed that I don't know you look at my blog:)
Thanks for helping me get that off my chest!
Love to all you fellow blog stalkers! Unite!

UTAH STATE FAIR
Last night my sister and friends and I went to the Utah State Fair for some good white trash fun. We've been doing this all together for at least 10 years. Before that it was usually some of us with my parents. We were reminicising how my Dad would pay for everything and let us do all the dumb games, rides, eat tons of food. I miss those days. So now being cheap we go the opening day for $2 and now it's just a snack and not my regular navajo taco.
A couple of years ago I decided to enter something in the fair. I entered my world famous (ok maybe salt lake famous) Harvest Bread. It was my Mom's recipe. Most people love it and I try to pass it around sometime in October. Well 2 years ago I got 4th place out of 4, nice. This year I got 3rd place, yea! I couldn't find all the entries so I don't know if I was last again.
I also submitted some chocolate chip/butterscotch chip cookies this year. This is my friend Christina's recipe that I absolutely love. She used to make it all the time when we lived together. She loved to bake cookies when she was stressed, therefore every time she got stressed I got fat, go figure.
Well since I wasn't sure if anyone would be taking pics at the fair I took this pic of me very excited to get there.
My friend Brett and I with our "elephant ears" They are huge scones and they only cost $4. They were sticky and yummy.
Linzi and I having a good time as always.

90210 MAKES A COMEBACK
I grew up watching Beverly Hills 90210 and was excited to see the new premiere of 90210. Since I'm always up for a party, I had my fellow tv addicts together for a 90210 party.
Here is the welcome sign:
Here are more pics of us enjoying a good drama and food. The menu was peach pie (of course in honor of the Peach Pit) and rootbeer floats. I'll admit the show wasn't bad except that the teachers and the students looked the same age, interesting...

HIGHLIGHTS FROM IDAHO
Last weekend on a spur of the moment (well "spur" for me means a week ahead) we decided to go and visit friends in Idaho. We have friends in Twin Falls and Boise so we spent a day with each of them. It was a lot of fun. I'm not good at taking pics on small trips so here is just a few highlights:
Hudson is his new "big boy" chair.
Karlee and Hudson ready for the road trip.
The fam at this place that had "hot springs". It was more like a trailer park with murky water. But it was warm;) Good times.
My cute friends the Spagnolos.
On to Boise. Jeremy being gracious and making us food.
A trip to the ice cream store.
Besides that we just ate a lot and talked a lot. Thanks for all the great hospitality. Sorry I didn't get more pics:)
