OSCARS 2010!

Oh how I LOVE the Oscars. Our tradition continues...This was probably our biggest group yet. We laughed and laughed and made fun of outfits and ate and ate. My kind of party with some of my favorite people. Here are some pics of the fun!

We were each in charge of one of the nominated movies. We had to make a treat that goes along with the movie and bring a "prize" that represents it.

My movie was "UP" so I made rainbow cupcakes. This was a total first try but I think they turned out good:)...btw 3 other people made cupcakes. Great minds think alike!

I was very impressed by Molly's abilities. Love the oscar statue cookies!

I thought it was a really entertaining show. I liked Alec and Steve. My favorite was when they talked to the celebrities in the audience. Its fun when they laugh at themselves. I loved Ben Stiller dressed as a character from Avator...I loved Sandra Bullock's speech and some of us getting teary eyed when Jesse James got teary eyed.

I heart my COUCH!

Ok this is a silly post. But I AM so excited about my new couch. It doesn't take a whole lot to make me happy these days. Since we've been married we have probably got about 5 pieces of new furniture. I have had A LOT of hand me downs which I am sooo grateful for. Well in January I was feeling down and I just didn't have anything to look foward to. It seems like in our house about every room is half way the way I want it to be but with money and my primary fix-it man, Paul in school full-time and working full-time it's been hard. So I decided with our tax refund I wanted a nice couch. My family room is my favorite room to have people over and have movie night or tv night and I want to be comfy. I love that we got to custom build this one. I had looked around for like 6 months and could not find one I loved or I would find one but it didn't come in chocolate. So we found a place down the street from our house and we picked it out and picked out all the pieces we wanted. So here is a peek. Sorry to be such a "bragger", but I'm just happy for our new "addition"..Can't wait to have many parties where we lounge around:)

Now for some new decorations. hmmmm....

MOM AND TOT

This week my little guy and I got out for a play date. It was so needed! At Kearns Oquirrah Center every other Wednesday it has a little mom and tot get together. I've gone a couple of times. It's been a lot of fun. Here are a couple highlights from this week:

First it was coloring time. He said he drew a fish. He's getting very creative:)

Then they got to play with homemade play dough. The 2nd one was eatable. Yum!
