Good Things Utah!

My sisters and I went to be in the audience of Good Things Utah once before and thought it was a lot of fun so on New Year's Eve we decided to go again. It was my sisters and I, Karlee, my stepmom, my niece Brittany and her friend Rachel. It was a good show. The biggest thing on the show was the group V Factory which I had never heard of but I guess one of them is from Utah was in High School Musical and is dating Ashley Tisdale so of course my nieces (and my sister Linz) were super excited. I wished they had performed but they at least signed autographs. They were really nice probably since they are not terribly famous yet;) We went home to see if we were on camera and they had caught me trying to get in the shot as I laid my head on Linzi's shoulder. That was funny to watch. They also said Happy Birthday to Brittany and showed her on camera. Ah I love to be on local tv;) Here are a few pics.

The Festival of Trees and Santa!

The first week of December my sisters and step-mom and I went to the Festival of Trees. We go every year. We always have a good time. It was fun to have Hudson participate more this year. Here are some highlights:
Hudson got a tattoo and enjoyed his sucker from the fish pond.

I always have to have pics of the cute sisters:)

There wasn't much of a wait for Santa so I thought now is a good time to see if Hudson would or would not like Santa. Well Hudson did great and now Santa is his new pal.
All the kids did pretty well.

A stranger with candy. What more does a kid need?;)

This last picture was when I took Hudson to South Towne Mall for play group. I thought he might want to see Santa again. I'm not sure why this pic looks so "heavenly" but it works.

Christmas Day!

Christmas was a lot of fun this year. I'm sorry I didn't blog more. It went by so fast. We got together with my sisters on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Day we battled the snow storm and got Karlee at 1:00 pm. Then it was time to open gifts and head to Grandma and Grandpa Price's house. It was a great day. Here are a few pics of the excitement:)

Karlee with her "collectors" item from Hard Rock Cafe Salt Lake before it closed.

Hudson with his "big" gift of blocks and the cute hat his big sis made him.

I couldn't help getting him this shirt. "Mommy's Favorite Present"

Funny Kid!

My kid cracks me up most of the time. Here are a couple highlights from the past month.
#1: Always put the kids in the carseat right when you get to the car. Letting the child roam around makes them sneaky.

Then makes them angry when they have to get strapped in.

#2 If you clap for a kid when they put something away the kid will purposely take things out, put them away, and then clap for themselves every time.

#3 This kid loves standing in the window. Once you put him up there. He will cry if you take him down before he's finished enjoying the view.

I'm so glad he adds laughter to my life!

MORE FREE MOVIES!

I haven't had much time or energy to blog lately but I thought I'd do a quick post. While I have time off for the holidays there should be many posts all at once. Well this week was full of free movies. Usually it is such a pain to go to the location, pick up the free tickets, exchange them, etc but this week went surprisingly well.

First movie was Marley and Me.

I went with a few friends and my sisters and nieces. Thank goodness we had reserved seats. I didn't have to go extremely early and I didn't have to get ornery at people in line.

Highlights:
Linzi bought me a refillable mug for Christmas and I got to fill it up for the movie.
Only spenT $1 on the "free" movie.
Not being a dog lover, I loved this movie. It was so heart-warming.

Lowlights:
None.

Saturday morning it was on to see "Bedtime Stories" with my sisters and nieces.

Highlights:
7th person in line.
They didn't make us wait in the cold.
Terrific movie. It was so funny and cute.

Lowlights:
The "schwag" consisted of a poster and stickers. Not my idea of free stuff.
The concessions girl putting half lemonade/half diet coke in my new mug.(Doesn't she know what a "splash" is.)
Linzi having to pay full price for parking since Kristine and I had the ticket with us at Old Navy.

Thanks sisters for a fun, cheap week.

Temple Square

We got out early this year and went to the Lights at Temple Square on Sunday November 30th. First we ate dinner at Kristine's and then went out with the whole fam. Here are some of the pics from our excursion.
Hudson all bundled up and ready to go!

Hudson and his cousin Zack.

Dad and Sandy.

The cute Gustafson family.

Our little familia. Unfortunately Karlee wasn't able to go, but there is always next year.

We like to goof off a bit. Happy Holidays!

Black Friday

My sisters and I and Karlee ventured out on Black Friday. We went to Walmart at about 4:30. I don't really go out for anything in particular, but I like the excitement and rush of the shopping. (That is as long as I'm not trampled or punched;) Mostly I like to get dvd's that are good deals. So Linzi and Karlee went to the dvd's and I told them to grab anything they could and we'd go through it later. Kristine was by electronics and I found some legos to get for Hudson. One person grabbed stuff early and it became a ripple effect down each aisle. One Walmart worker was like "I'm calling security". I thought it was hilarious. What were they going to do, make everyone put it back and then get it again in 5 minutes? Well we grabbed some stuff and I impulsively grabbed a cheap portable dvd player (which I later took back when I looked at my budget). Then we went through all our dvd's in the chip aisle and I got some good movies. We got out of there unharmed and only a few swear words thrown at Karlee for accidentally bumping into someone.

Next we went to famous footwear and tried on shoes. I was really getting my energy at this point.

We went to a few more stores and then to Burger King for breakfast. We were so hyper. It was a lot of fun. Thanks guys!
